Each piece starts with a conversation. You tell me about the subject, I scout it out (or work from your photos), and sketch the composition before committing to heavy detail.
If the sketch isn't working, we stop. No obligation. If it clicks, 50% deposit, balance on completion.

1. Tell me about it. The building, the story, why it matters. Photos help but aren't essential. I often scout subjects in person.
2. I'll send a quote. Within a day or two. Timeline depends on detail and my current workload.
3. Sketch approval. You see the composition and layout on the page before I commit to heavy linework. This is where you can request changes or walk away.
4. Drawing begins. 50% deposit once you approve the sketch. Most pieces take 2 to 4 weeks; large format or complex subjects take longer.
5. Balance on completion. I'll send photos before arranging pickup or delivery.

Can you work from old photos?
Yes. Black and white, faded, grainy — all fine.
What if the subject is outside Dublin?
No problem. I work from photos when I can't scout in person.
What can't you draw?
Honestly? Nothing. But I'm obsessive about accuracy, so I'm hesitant to attempt portraits without the right time and investment. My larger personal pieces have taken 100–200 hours. Commissions haven't gone quite that far yet — The Dean Hotel was about 7 working days of drawing after the prep work.
Do you frame?
No, but I can recommend framers in Dublin 8.
How do I collect it?
Pickup in Dublin 8, or I can arrange shipping.
What happens if I don't like the sketch?
We stop. No deposit, no obligation.
