Caxton Antique Prints

I had about 25 photos of this shopfront on my phone. Taken over five years. It looks especially good at night, in the rain. Austere, authentic, no signage. Just the art. I couldn't stop looking at it.

Almost a year later, I started drawing it. Six months after that, I was still drawing. Two or three hours a day, methodically. It's an insanely complex image. I was in love.

He offered to buy it there and then. I don't know exactly when I became an artist. I don't think there was a single moment. But that was the day I stopped wondering.
